Some advice and help on an essay?

I have to write on an essay about how internet slang/informality of electronic communication is affecting our writing skills... and I don't know what to write 4 pages about it... Can anyone help by giving me some discussion points? Thanks...Some advice and help on an essay?
so many typos because we are so used to saying ';cuz'; instead of because, or saying like everyother word or lol and all that is causing us to say or type it into our essys without even realizing it... for a good discussion point to take up some space you could write a paragraph in complete slang (or even exagerated slang) then translate it in the next paragraph to demonstrate the differences...

I love how relaxed and informal the words are that are used in electronic communication. They so demonstrate how the electronic world (internet) is the domain of the young. They don't use fancy techno-speak. They just tell it like it is.


Some may argue that the simplicity of the language of the internet affects our writing skills adversely because nobody talks like Charles Dickens anymore and even less so when you consider WYSIWYG. I'm an older American and I think it is very cool, this language of the internet. When you think about it, if you know anything about snowboarding and the names for the moves those guys perform, internet language is the same thing. It is simple and descriptive.
oh kay so here are some things to mention





-how it makes kids write with bad spelling for texts


-how it benefits and helps save time by using acronyms and things like lol


-how it is extremely convienient for everyone


-how it is much better than a phone call


- how much money it costs to text compared to call someone


-what all of the U and jk and lol mean


-how it makes kids brains think less, by not talking, typing instead


- take a survey of friends and see how many use texting rather than talking in person or on the phone


-survery of how many email, text, im, call, snail mail, etc etc

I could write 20 pages on all this good stuff!
People have a tendency to start writing with typical internet shorthand such as tho, rite, kno, wha, etc.
well online u dont nesessarily hav 2 spell things right. n the after some time u'd think tht the ';quick-chat'; way to write IS the right way to wright. that=illiteracy
