My daughter is also 6 months old and also teething! Shes terribly irritable too. We have found that she does not want any teething rings or toys, but she loves to chomp on our fingers and hers. All babies are different, we give her tylenol before she goes to bed to help her sleep and orajel during the day, it seems to help some. When my sister was teething, my mom bought this cherry flavored gel that she put on her teeth. It was by Johnson and Johnson or whatever that is called.
yummy, wipe a bit of sugar on his gums.
If you have started to wean him aswell as breastfeeding, try using things slightly cooler than you usually would - that way they can help to cool his gums.
