Hi,

If you live in the UK (because i do, and thats what kind of college i will be talking about..not the american colleges) then you will probably find that they do not to a midwifery course - thats universities.

I too am hoping to become a midwife, and currently at college i am doing double health and social care, and within that unit i learn all about babies, and the biological sense of the body, as well as the caring skills and techniques that will also benefit the midwifery course.

If that isnt somehting youd like to do, a childcare course is always just as beneficial, because you learn more about what babies and mothers need and do etc.

good luck, i hope you make it as a midwife :)15 and want to be a midwife, need advice please help?
it's probably not offered in traditional colleges

might only be a 6 month or year long program - google for ';midwife training'; and see what comes up - in the mean time - take all the science courses you can in high school, especially if they offer something like anatomy, anything related to first aid, etc
My cousin in Ohio is a midwife. She originally trained as a general RN at nursing school, and found out once she was working that she loved being in the delivery room. She did go back to school but I'm not certain what requirements were needed to become a midwife. So look at nursing schools- you might find the info you need by going that route.
I doubt at 15 you would be allowed to be a midwife
